  • Are permanent roofs noisy?

No, just the opposite. A properly installed metal roof will disperse rain to reduce noise. Also, the metal roof is installed directly on the roof decking so no sound can resonate.

  • Are homeowner discounts available if I install a permanent roof?

Yes. Many insurance providers offer up to a 35% discount on insurance premiums.

  • How does a permanent roof stand up to high winds?

Excellent. Many of our roofs are warranted to withstand up to 130 mph winds.

  • Does an existing roof need to be torn off to install a permanent roof?

Because of a permanent roof's lightweight material, most metal roofs can be installed directly over the top of the existing roof.

  • Will hail damage a permanent roof?

No. A permanent metal roof's strong and durable structure can withstand hail stones up to 2.5" or larger.

  • Are metal roofs safe in a lightning storm?

Yes. A metal roof is no more likely to be struck by lightning than a regular roof.

  • How do I take care of my permanent roof?

    They are virtually maintenance-free.

  • Will my permanent roof make my home safer?

Yes. Metal roofs are practically fireproof. They will not support or spread fire to other parts of the house. A permanent roof can preserve the integrity of your roof longer to allow a safe escape. Also, a metal roof will not catch fire from embers in a fire outside your home, such as a grass or neighbor's fire.
